Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Calgary- Alberta
office to manage a group of Upstream oil and gas remediation and reclamation
projects at former upstream well sites. This position will integrate into a
team of environmental engineers- scientists and field technicians to provide
leadership on an established program.
The appropriately qualified candidate will provide outstanding Project
Management skills with a focus on scheduling- monitoring- tracking and
controlling and will develop- guide and mentor intermediate and entry-level
staff. The role will be based out of our Calgary- AB office.

The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:

Provide clear and focused leadership on all project functions related to project management- project control- environmental assessment planning and execution to satisfy the Client`s and AECOM`s overall goals on a group of Oil and Gas remediation and reclamation projects.

Effectively maintain and develop a healthy client relationship

Create a team environment that supports AECOM`s Client focus- where employees meet the expectations- requirements- and agreements of our Clients.

Define and manage execution of project scope- goals- deliverables- quality and compliance requirements.

Ensure compliance with AECOM`s and the Client`s quality policies and procedures

Develop detailed work breakdown structures and project execution plans

Define project staffing and resource requirements in consultation with Program Managers

Plan and prepare accurate cost estimates

Ensure strict compliance with the Client`s and AECOM`s safety policies and procedures

Use a full range of available communication mediums to engage and solicit inputs from key stakeholders on each project

Proactively resolve performance- scope- cost and schedule issues

Constantly monitor and report on progress of the Project to the Client and AECOM. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial status reports to our clients and AECOM`s senior leadership

Consistently deliver on each project to achieve top-tier industry benchmarks for quality- overall project delivery and project financials

Provide leadership and supervision of intermediate and junior staff

Prepare proposal capture plans and proposal documents

Provide business development including seeking out new opportunities and enhancing existing projects

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor|s degree (Geology- Hydrogeology- Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering)

8+ years of Project Management with upstream oil and gas environmental consulting experience that must include a leadership role

Extensive experience in contaminated sites management including remediation- risk assessment and reclamation in Alberta including understanding of Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidelines

Ability to obtain professional licensure within 3 months of hire date; if not already licensed as such (P.Eng- P.Geol- P. Biol- P.Ag etc.)

Proficient in common desktop packages- i.e. Word- Excel- MS Project- MS PowerPoint

Demonstrating creativity- foresight- and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual field-related technical problems.

Work in cooperation with a multi-disciplinary project team to complete projects incorporating environmental site assessments and remediation- environmental auditing- reclamation- environmental liability and risk assessment

Agile response to fast paced work environment and organizational change

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must possess a valid driver`s license

Preferred Qualifications

12-15+ years of Project Management experience

Experience with reclamation projects considered an asset

SST- risk assessment and/or in-situ treat
