Hotel Overview:

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Fairmont Gold Manager- responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Demonstrates Fairmont Corporate standards and Service Promise standards in every interaction with guests and colleagues
Ensures that all Fairmont Gold standards of service and operation are adhered to.
Monitors the maintenance of the physical Gold product
Oversees all aspects of guest service in the daily operation of Fairmont Gold- ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction at all times
Ensures the highest revenues possible are generated by participating in- supporting and promoting the Fairmont Gold up sell program as well as monitoring honor bar revenue
Updates and reviews Fairmont Gold Guest history and Profile Plus daily to ensure information is accurate and that all guest needs are met and requests are anticipated
Monitors Fairmont Gold status- tracks and forecasts daily- weekly and monthly business levels and plans accordingly
Provides exceptional concierge information to our guests
Develops and maintains strong relationships with local area vendors- concessionaires- local community and counterparts of Fairmont Gold though Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with guests to ensure Fairmont Gold Loyalty and handles all daily Fairmont Gold comments and proactively resolve any concerns.
Communicates effectively with all other departments and attends department communication meetings in place of Fairmont Gold Manager- representing the Fairmont Gold Department.
Supervises and communicates with all contributing colleagues on a daily basis- to ensure all Fairmont Gold standards are met.
Inspects Gold guestrooms daily for cleanliness and maintenance issues including completion of housekeeping audits- turndown and occupied rooms cleaning audits.
Actively participates in training and development of colleagues as it relates to Fairmont Gold.
Proposes and facilitates cost-effective guest experience enhancements. Directs and executes approved plans and programs for Gold in accordance with company and hotel policies.
Works with the Sous-chef- Culinary team- and In Room Dining team to maintain high quality Food & Beverage Offerings & impeccable presentation- on Fairmont Gold in line with Fairmont Gold standards.
Promotes and adheres to the company`s Health & Safety policies to ensure a safe work environment and knowledgeable about all safety and emergency procedures.
Promotes and adheres to the company`s Environmental and Green Team policies and procedures.
Participates actively in the hotel community to further inter-departmental working relationships.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years- hotel concierge experience.
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity- an asset.
Must have a proven record of exceeding guest expectations and commitment to guest service.
Excellent leadership- written & verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
Self-Motivating with the initiative and ability to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.
Great organizational skills with a proven ability to work under pressure.
An operational knowledge of
Opera and Microsoft Office Suite an asset.
Diploma or degree in hospitality Management is an asset.
Knowledge of a second language and its application in the hotel / hospitality industry an asset.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
Occasional kneeling- pushing- pulling- lifting up to 20lbs.
Occasional ascending or descending ladders- stairs and ramps
