Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Mining Quality Inspector to join our project
team in Sparwood- British Columbia. This is a Full Time position on a 14/14
rotation. Living Out allowance and flights are provided.
Responsible for the systematic implementation of a quality management system
for a project- service- business area- or geographic location.
Responsibilities
Under general direction- technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects- coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed- procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.

Provides leadership for new systems- development- proposals- implementation- procedures and any related quality activity.

Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories- as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.

Analyzes- evaluates and plans methods of approach- as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.

Reviews project process and evaluate results.

Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.

Conducts investigations and tests that are of moderate to considerable complexity.

Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers- technicians and inspectors.

Timely completion of inspection test plan documentation for quality turnover package.

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy- qualified applicants who are offered- and accept- the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check- an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

2. Qualified applicants who are offered- and accept- a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company|s Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid- the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM – Oil & Gas Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

Diploma/Certificate + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Proficient in MS office (word- excel- outlook)

Great verbal and written communication skills

Able to travel- if and when required

Construction Safety Ticket – CSTS-09 or PST or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with quality management system for a project- service- business area- or geographic location is preferred.

Mining / Maintenance Services / Industrial project experience is preferred including rock bolting- shotcrete and grout.
