Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the
Chief Engineer- responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following (5 days on- 2 days off- 8 hr shifts per day):
To own- maintain and repair the hotel`s guest rooms and other areas on a preventative maintenance program
ACCOR Guest Room Preventative Maintenance Program to be followed comprehensively that includes complete servicing and maintenance of guest rooms and other areas as per standard
Ensure proper documentation of PPM of all guest rooms
Maintain HVAC equipment filter change program
Assist tradesmen when needed
To have complete knowledge of hotel fire standards and procedures
Do housekeeping maintenance calls when required and or projects
Report broken or misused equipment to Chief Engineer/Assistant Chief Engineer
Organize inventory of parts necessary for this position
Other duties as assigned
Must work well without supervision
Working shifts may rotate between morning- afternoon and evening shifts.
Qualifications:
Some construction trade background in carpentry- plumbing and electrical would be an asset Must work well without supervision Building Maintenance field education Valid Driver|s Licence Previous experience in hotel operations including guest service experience Must provide own hand tools- as outlined in the Collective Agreement
