AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Intern for
employment in the Winnipeg- MB office. AECOM is searching for candidates that

The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:

Demonstrate analytic and design skills.

Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Create designs- calculations- sketches- diagrams- schematic drawings- and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

About Our Internships:

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential- hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad- well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

Intern 1 ??? completion of first year of qualified study

Minimum Requirements

AA/AS (US) + None or Diploma/Certification (Canada) + None

Preferred Qualifications

In pursuit of or in possession of post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering from a recognized University or College or equivalent- Masters preferred

Experience with field sampling

Experience with air photo interpretation (hard/soft copy)- Global Positioning Systems- and map and compass orientation

Wilderness First Aid and/or wilderness experience

Valid Manitoba driver`s license

Valid Standard First Aid + CPR

Highly motivated and accountable

Enjoy working outdoors

Be an effective communicator

Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

Ability to work in a field environment

Adherence to and enforcement of AECOM`s Health and Safety Protocols
