Job Summary
AECOM is looking for a Project Scheduler to join our Bonnyville Project team
in Bonnyville- Alberta location. This is a full time position on 5/2
schedule.
Provides objective analysis and sound judgement with application of principles
and techniques to evaluate and report project performance from concept study
to construction & startup including practical assessment of schedule
completion and expected final cost. Competencies include setup of work
breakdown structure- establishing levels of control and detail- planning and
scheduling- cost analysis and forecasting- progress measurement- earned valu
performance- risk analysis and change control.
Responsible for managing- controlling- forecasting and reporting cost an
schedule performance for projects throughout the organization. Services
include setting up and managing project controls systems (including setup of
work breakdown structure)- capturing to-date progress and expenditure data-
analyzing to-date performance data- forecasting at-completion performance data
(EAC costs- hours)- analyzing project risks (contingency management)- managing
change and incorporating scope variations into schedule and cost deliverables-
and preparing associated reports.
Develops fundamental knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
Develops familiarity with data sources for schedule development.
Develops and maintains project schedule with the input of various project stakeholders.
Ability to identify and investigate project schedule variance.
Collects data and updates and produces scheduling reports.
Assists in the development and maintenance of work breakdown structures (WBS).
Develops familiarity with construction drawings- specifications and construction contracting.
Possesses a fundamental understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling. Able to review and understand engineering- procurement and construction schedule logic
Assists in assembling data for schedule updating.
Assists in the measurement of project schedule progress
Develops knowledge of scope control- change management and earned value methodology.
Supports data gathering and produces an initial analysis for schedule baseline development and maintenance data gathering.
Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals- concepts and principles.
Conditions of Employment for this position are:
1. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor`s Degree + 8 Years of Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Proficient in MS office (Word- Excel- Outlook)
Great written and verbal communication skills
Familiar with construction drawings- specifications and construction contracting methods
Familiar with weekly progress schedule updates / bid schedules / portfolio schedules
This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver|s abstract for review.
Preferred Qualifications
3-4 Years of scheduling experience
Knowledge of Primavera P6
Advanced Excel Skills
Experience with Manpower schedule
Experience leading schedule coordination meetings with Construction groups.
