A Second Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes
to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while consistently
contributing to departmental targets.
What will I be doing?
As a Second Cook| you are responsible for preparing and presenting high
quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
Specifically| you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to
the highest standards:
Prepares all food products ready for service including but not limited to cutting| coring| peeling| and cleaning vegetables and fruits| traying up food products such as bacon| preparing a variety of cold| canapés| sandwiches| salads and garnishes and preparing mis en place for stations as required.
Participates in the food production for all outlets and banquets in accordance with standardized recipes and in pre-determined quantities as directed.
Stores meats| seafood| fruits| vegetable starch| dairy products and dry goods as appropriate
Maintains the work area in a clean and safe manner

Carries out side duties and cleaning schedules as requested by the kitchen management team

Rotates food in assigned refrigeration

Follows| observes and maintains safe standards of hygiene in line with Health & Safety Guidelines.
Assists the first cook and station chef as directed.

Completion of a culinary program at a hotel school or college and/or Apprenticeship
Obtained 1-3 years of culinary experience
Positive attitude

Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work on own or in teams
