Job Summary

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers

environmental site assessments. Field work is an integral component of this

Consult manufacturers| manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures

Use pneumatic- electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation- and diagnose faults

Consult with and advise process operators

Implement loss management practices

Repair- maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts

Do risk assessments

Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers| specifications

Work with engineers on basic design

Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes

Interpret and use appropriate CSA- ISA and API installation standards and practices

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy- qualified applicants who are offered- and accept- the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check- an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

Minimum Requirements

Alberta Certified Journeyman Instrumentation Technician or Inter-Provincial Red Seal

Crew supervisory and leadership experience is required

Construction Safety Training System Ticket (CSTS-09)

Standard First Aid Level A or C

H2S alive ticket

Aerial Work Platform ticket

Fall Arrest ticket

Confined Space ticket

Valid driver|s license and a clean driver|s abstract required

Able to travel- if and when required

Able to work different shift and rotation- if and when required

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years` experience in an Industrial Maintenance role

Experience working and executing maintenance in a live Plant

Team Player dedicated to delivering results

Personal Commitment to safety

Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

Personal Management Skills

Read diagrams- schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures

The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:

Provide technologist and technician services to projects either individually or as part of a

larger project team. Services may include:

Drafting and design of various transportation projects

Preliminary and construction surveying

Construction Supervision

Compiling reports

Ensuring the projects` needs are met in a timely and effective manner

Working with and maintaining a positive relationship with clients and contractors

Work in both office and field settings

Minimum Requirements

HS + None

Preferred Qualifications

Currently enrolled in the Civil Engineering Technology program

Accuracy with details and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Sound understanding of drawing layouts using pre-established standards on items such as text styles- blocks- etc.

Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services

Experience collecting preliminary survey data using GPS- Total Station Technology and/or

conventional survey equipment

Valid driver|s license required

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and design software such as Civil 3D is desired

Experience performing construction layout surveys is an asset
