Job Summary
The Transportation Division of AECOM is seeking individuals to conduct scaling
and/or checking for the supply and delivery of gravel and asphalt material on
various projects across Alberta. The qualified applicant will be able to
demonstrate an awareness of the need for accuracy as it relates to the job
function as well as a high regard and commitment to our safety practices while
on site.

Job Overview

Are you a supply chain management (SCM) professional who is passionate about leading and coaching your teams to build effective contracting and procurement strategies to support business needs? Reporting to the director, SCM projects, you will lead, direct and manage the SCM activities for our growth and sustaining projects while ensuring positive relationships with partners and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

Participate in cross-functional sourcing teams, taking responsibility for translating our business requirements and negotiating outcomes into a supply contract
Manage total costs, while minimizing our risks through the development, execution, and subsequent closure of supply contracts

Plan supply strategy for projects in conjunction with category management
Manage the contract formation cycle
Liaise with our legal department to ensure our contract development and management activities are in accordance with our policy
Provide guidance and support to internal customers with regards to contract management and procurement activities
Develop specific contracting and procurement strategies with workable and beneficial incentive programs for both Suncor and contractors, ensuring performance-monitoring criteria are clearly identified
Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

10 or more years of experience in contract management and SCM with increasing responsibility
You have experience leading a team of SCM professionals
Project execution experience would be helpful
Post-secondary degree, preferably in business, engineering or law
Skills and Knowledge:

You handle complex issues and introduce changes to strategies and practices that affect business goals
You are able to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners
You are someone that can gain the trust and confidence of others and influence without direct authority
You have strong leadership and mentoring ability, and you work well with diverse groups
Working Conditions

Occasional travel to various project sites within Alberta may be required
