Job Overview
 
Do you want to work within our Digital and Enterprise Technical (D&ET) organization, leading cross-functional teams to develop and recommend optimal investments for our information technology (IT) projects? Reporting to the manager, IT development, you will utilize our staged gate project framework to facilitate information gathering, refine problems and opportunities for improvement, analyze multiple options, socialize concepts and garner support for selected options through the life cycle of our IT projects.

Key Accountabilities
 
Translate and implement our Asset Development Execution Model (ADEM) process through D&ET
Lead an integrated team through the development stages (one and two) of ADEM for 15-20 prioritized opportunities per year
Facilitate access to existing services for members of the team including, economics, risk, domain experts etc.
Lead the analysis of multiple options and to complete concept selection
Ensure gatekeeper and other stakeholder alignment through project lifecycle

Organize and lead gate reviews and gates; address findings and obtain decision records
Facilitate review of benefits and build benefits plan; register and translate benefits for economics
Ensure that gate one and two decision support package for each stage is complete and of high enough quality to allow gatekeepers to make well-informed decisions
Ensure stewardship is efficient, effective and timely
Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

Six or more years of experience leading or coordinating cross-functional groups; experience in IT is an asset
Experience in project development or management ideally in a large matrix environment with a project governance framework
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, economics or a related discipline
Skills and Knowledge:

You bring a deep understanding of key business drivers and underlying issues, and you use a questioning attitude to surface problems
You are a self-starter with critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
You have superior verbal and written communication, with positive relationship building and interpersonal skills
You have a demonstrable ability to provide effective non-authoritative leadership and to build alignment with large multi-discipline teams, and senior level leaders
Expert ability to multitask in a demanding and dynamic environment, handle ambiguity and deliver results on complex issues
