Responsibilities may include:

Supports environmental assessments and other environmental approvals and
permitting activities for rail and transit projects and works with technical
specialists/sub-consultants to deliver the project

Supports the team in liaising with clients- regulatory agencies and project stakeholders- attends meetings- and supports the preparation of meeting materials

Job Summary
AECOM is looking for a Project Controls Scheduler to work on secondment to TTC
to help their teams with delivering their Transit Capital projects.
The job incumbent will be offered a regular- full-time position with AECOM and
work on secondment to TTC for about a year before returning to AECOM.
The TTC office is located downtown.
The description of duties/scope of work is below:
Developing detailed project baseline schedules using CPM method/standard
activity coding and work breakdown structures by:
Identifying tasks/activities

Sequencing work packages/activities and developing network models

Preparing logic diagrams

Estimating activity duration

Establishing critical path and project duration

Preparing master project schedule by summarizing the detailed work schedules and monitoring the project`s performance against same

Performing schedule control by determining critical path analysis- planned value- earned value- schedule variance- schedule performance indices and schedule risk analysis- and recommending corrective action when required

Providing schedule information to the Project Controls Analyst for preparation of various project reports including project status reports

Attending design and construction review meetings and contributing to the design and construction process affecting timing- sequencing and staging of contracts

Visiting sites to ascertain scope and staging of projects prior to tendering and during the construction phase to review progress

Preparing cost-loaded schedules on selected projects with data as supplied by the project team

Performing various scheduling functions for the project teams and senior management as required

Reviewing- analyzing and commenting on the Contractor`s scheduling submissions as requested- prior to approval

Updating project schedules to reflect progress against project plan and preparing management reports

Providing specialized scheduling services such as evaluation of alternative construction scenarios- recovery schedule- Time impact and delay claim analysis

Monitoring schedule compliance and reporting to the project team regarding deviation from approved project schedule developed upon completion of scope definition

Minimum Requirements

6 to 10 Years in planning and scheduling in Engineering/Design- Procurement
and commercial construction

Preferred Qualifications

6 to 10 Years in planning and scheduling in Engineering/Design- Procurement and commercial construction

Comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures involved in the scheduling
function- with proven experience in the construction process and technology-
an ability to read construction drawings and specifications

Hands on experience in planning and preparing logic diagrams- critical path networks and bar charts- with particular emphasis on detailed construction schedule

Ability to receive information from numerous sources- and have effective written and verbal communication skills

In depth experience with computer based scheduling systems (Primavera P6- MS Project) and other computerized applications related to the work is essential

Must possess sound judgement; strong analytical and interpersonal skills- well developed organizational and administration skills- verbal and written communication skills.

Formal Project Management training/certification is a definite asset- has some sound understanding of basic engineering and construction methodologies.

Transit/Transportation experience is a definite asset

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Environmental Planner for
immediate employment in the Ottawa- ON office. This is an opportunity for an
Environmental Planner for municipal and MTO work who is seeking more
experience and responsibility with exposure to a wide variety of planning-
design and construction projects.
The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:
Work with and support Project Managers in carrying EAs for municipal and MTO Projects
Lead the coordination of study tasks and small-scale studies- dealing with transportation and municipal infrastructure
Lead/manage- organize- prepare for- attend- and document Environmental Team meetings

Develop and implement consultation programs- including municipal- regulatory agency and Indigenous Peoples engagement

Co-ordinate work of environmental specialists (i.e.- fisheries- terrestrial- noise- air- archaeology- etc.)

Oversee dealing with Federal agencies

Lead and mentor other staff on the EA process

Minimum Requirements

College or University Degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education- skills- knowledge- abilities and experience

4+ years of experience

Familiarity with MTO`s Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities Process- Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Process- Ontario Environmental Assessment (EA) Act- and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA)

Knowledge of other relevant Ontario Legislation and Provincial Policy

Excellent bilingual communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong problem solving skills and ability to work well with people

Preferred Qualifications

Existing client/working relationships with municipalities in Eastern Ontario

Interest in project coordination and management

Interest in business development and key client/account management

10+ years of experience is ideal

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Project
Controller/Scheduler for immediate employment. The Candidate is expected to
work various types of projects (e.g Water- wastewater- transportation-
building- etc.…)- during pre-construction and construction phases.
The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:
Leads the effort in the areas of project controls- scheduling- scheduling analysis- earned value management- and construction activities in support of projects
Study projects Contract document s related to Change Orders- claims- schedules- Delays and Disputes resolution procedure.
Study Delay events and relevant supporting documents (Letters- RFI`s- Notices- Change orders etc.…) and provide project Owners with contractual opinions and determination on Claims and Change Orders.
Review cost/time extension Claims and change orders requests submitted by Contractors.

Prepare detailed analysis reports as required by Clients to evaluate major claims submitted by the Contractors

Prepares and updates detailed schedules for design and engineering projects- including activities for all site investigation- design phases and document submissions.

Participates in the preparation of the various bids and proposals- by providing time schedules that reflects the timing and sequence of the scope of work stipulated in the RFP.

Participates with various clients in determining the optimum construction durations by Preparing different constructability schedules scenarios and associated presentations.

Reviews- comments and approves the contractors and sub-consultants Baseline schedules.

Monitors- reviews and comments the progress schedule updates submitted by the contractors and the sub-consultants.

Prepares and submits weekly- monthly and quarterly reports.

As needed- prepares and submits short term and look-ahead schedules in various formats that meet the clients and project stakeholder`s requirements.

Reviews sub-consultants invoices and insure that items coding is matching the project cost breakdown and coding structure.

Submits- updates- controls and follow-up on the project staffing list and work sheets to insure that the project staffs are approved by the client and the billing process is not hindered.

Prepares and submits monthly project invoices that include both the sub-consultants and the direct manpower cost for the clients review and approval.

Prepares internal and external cost reports.

Implements and follows the Quality Assurance Program procedures
