Job Summary
AECOM is seeking Pipefitter Journeymen to join our Conklin project located
in Conklin- Alberta. This is a full-time position on a 9 days on- 5 days off
schedule.
Steamfitter – pipefitters lay out- assemble- fabricate- maintain and repair
piping systems which carry water- steam- chemicals or fuel used in heating-
cooling- lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace
worn components- do general maintenance work and may work on plant shut-downs.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring- cutting- threading- grooving and bending of pipes- valves and fittings.

Layout- assemble- fabricate- maintain and repair piping systems which carry water- steam- chemicals or fuel used in heating- cooling- lubricating and other processes.

Layout- assemble- fabricate- maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.

Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies- adding designed supports as required.

Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Maintain all tools- work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.

Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.

Follow various AECOM and Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy- qualified applicants who are offered- and accept- the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check- an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

2. Qualified applicants who are offered- and accept- a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company|s Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid- the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM – O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

Journeyman Certification

Construction Safety Training Systems – 09 (CSTS-09) Certification required.

H2S Alive Certification

Preferred Qualifications

May include some or all dependent on site:

First Aid – Standard Level C

CSE (Confined Space Entry)

Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket is the general requirement)

AWP – Aerial work platform

Red Seal preferred or required by provincial regulations and standards.
