Job Summary

Job Summary

Cleaning of the bathroom inside the guestroom includes: cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces (horizontal and vertical), all sinks, faucets, vanities, tubs, showers, walls and toilets.
Cleaning of the kitchen inside the guest room includes: loading/emptying the dishwasher, cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces (horizontal and vertical), all sinks, taps, dishes, cupboards, fridge, stovetop, oven, and microwave. Ensure all kitchen inventory is accounted for and replaced/reported.

Job Requirements

High school or equivalent education preferred.
At least 6 months experience in a similar role would be an asset.
Will take 1-2 months to fully train.

Job Description

 

As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring our guest rooms are cleaned in accordance with established quality and performance standards and ready for our new guest arrivals.

As a House Attendant, you are responsible for maintaining the quality and cleanliness of the public spaces in the hotel.  You will respond to guest requests, restock the Hostar system and maintain cleanliness of the housekeeping storage facilities.

Room Attendant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards
  • Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen closets on floors assigned
  • Complete any assigned paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
  • Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas
  • Comply with WRS’s Occupational Health and Safety Program and the Regulation of WorkSafeBC
  • Report any unsafe conditions, practices or injuries to their supervisor as soon as possible
  • Set a good safety example
  • All other duties as assigned

House Attendant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
  • Empty Linen, garbage and recycling from all collectors and bring to loading bay
  • Clean Mountain Club area and Health Club, including washrooms, and ensure amenities and towels are stocked
  • Report any engineering deficiencies to the Uniform Room attendant or the Housekeeping office
  • Ensure all outdoor cigarette containers are emptied regularly
  • Empty associate accommodation garbage
  • Ensure adequate amount of cribs are made
  • Respond to calls from the Uniform Room or over the radio as assigned while adhering to Westin standards
  • Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts
  • Deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and deliver linen and supplies to guest floors
  • Move furniture, supplies, and equipment
  • Re-stock Hostar and totes with linens and properly labeled cleaning supplies
