Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated recent graduate to become an Entry Level
Construction Quality Assurance Inspector for employment on a challenging and
complex construction project in and around the GTA.
The responsibilities of this position include- but are not limited to:
Become familiar with contract documents- specifications- standards- manufacturers| material specifications- and special provisions
Supervise Quality Assurance testing and inspect structures- grading- granular- concrete- asphalt- electrical and all other construction activities
Monitor the contractor|s work for compliance with plans- standards and specifications prior to approving work and progress payments
Identify and document construction and/or QC deficiencies (from applicable contract/standard specifications)
Resolve routine technical and administrative problems on a day-to-day basis and refer problems to Senior Inspectors and / or the Contract Administrator as necessary

Maintain liaison with client staff- contractor representatives- property owners and general public during construction to resolve problems

Assist the field office staff (Contract Administrator and Assistant- Office Administrator) in the verification and documentation of payment quantities

Maintain Inspector|s Diaries- detailing contractor|s work- contract progress and inspection milestones

Prepare comments to support Contractor|s Rating

Review the acquisition and use of materials from approved sources only

Review contractor`s application of and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act- adheres to WHMIS- environmental- Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Waste Management requirements

Become trained in- and use a Nuclear Density Gauge for compaction testing

Transport material samples from project site to area laboratory

Minimum Requirements

Eligible for OACETT rcji (Road Construction Junior Inspector) or PEO EIT

Effective oral and written communication skills

Must possess a valid driver|s license

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to prioritize- multi-task and work during either daytime and nighttime shifts- including weekends

Able to work overtime and extended shifts

Use of personal vehicle for travel to / from project sites

College or university degree in a civil engineering or technician program

Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Quality Inspector for its new project in
Lloydminster- Alberta. This is a Full Time positon on a 10/4 rotation with a
living out allowance provided.
Responsible for the systematic implementation of a quality management system
for a project- service- business area- or geographic location.
Responsibilities
Under general direction- technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects- coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed- procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.

Provides leadership for new systems- development- proposals- implementation- procedures and any related quality activity.

Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories- as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.

Analyzes- evaluates and plans methods of approach- as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.

Reviews project process and evaluate results.

Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.

Conducts investigations and tests that are of moderate to considerable complexity.

Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers- technicians and inspectors.

team at our IOL Sarnia Project. This position will support the 2019 Spring
Turnaround Quality Team.
Responsible for monitoring CSA 178.2 CWB conformance to quality-
performance- specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection
duties. Performs field inspections and/or audit duties and maintains
inspection records. Ensures all contract documents represented by working
drawings and specifications are properly executed.
Responsibilities:

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Works under general supervision.

May assist with training entry-level employees.

Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality- performance- specifications- and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

Participates in punch lists- testing- and commissioning.

Tracks quality assurance progress.

Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
