Job Summary

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Job description
You will be joining the Imperial Oil Nanticoke Refinery Maintenance Department as part of our instrument team. As an Instrumentation Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of instrument and control systems, carrying out repairs to existing equipment, and ensuring that there are no plant interruptions.
 
Some examples of job responsibilities are, but not limited to:
 
Calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing process instruments as a part of plant maintenance program.
Repair and tune various types of controllers associated with process instrumentation.
Pull, repair and calibrate pneumatic and electric actuated control valves.
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance activities on instrumentation in operating units during daily operations equipment turnarounds, and projects.
Execute critical test procedures on instrumented protective functions.

You will be reporting to the electrical, instrument & analyzer supervisor. Working a day schedule, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with and learn from various groups within the refinery including the operations department, other maintenance groups and experienced maintenance technicians.
Qualifications
Academic:

Certified 447A Instrumentation & Control Technician an asset.
Instrument and Control Engineering Technologist diploma and/or relevant industry experience are required.

Other:

Ability to consistently follow safe work practices, basic maintenance procedures and enthusiastically contribute to a safe work culture.
Has knowledge and ability to work with technology related instrumentation.
Has an understanding of process control loops and process control system, including those that are computer based. Including: Honeywell TDC2000, TDC3000, HPM, Fisher & Masoneilan control valves and smart positioners, Rosemount, Honeywell field instrumentation, Siemens, ABB GC’s, Thermox and Servomex O2 analyzers.
Must maintain a valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license and safe driving record.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
