AECOM is seeking a Commercial Contracts Coordinator to be based at our
Kincardine- ON location. An ideal candidate must be local or willing to
relocate to the area. A travel allowance and relocation assistance may be
provided.
ABOUT US
The Steam Generating Replacement Team (SGRT) is a Joint Venture of Aecon-
AECOM and Framatome. SGRT is responsible for the replacement of the Steam
Generators in the Bruce Power Unit 6 Nuclear Power Station in Kincardine-
Ontario.
The project- which is part of Bruce Power`s Life Extension Program- will allow
Bruce Power`s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064 and is
a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program.
Work is scheduled to begin in 2019 with installation of the crane pad- then in
2020 perform insulation removal and metrology of the existing steam generators
and ultimately replacement in 2021.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the Contracts Manager- the Commercial Contracts Coordinator is
responsible to coordinate and manage the purchase of bulk material- fabricated
components- subcontracts and contractors for SGRT at the Bruce Power Nuclear
site.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibility is the preparation and coordination of material requisitions for a wide range of materials and services including Nuclear safety related materials & components. This may include but not limited to: plate- structural steel- pipe- tubing- fittings- valves- weld consumables- electrical components & supplies- civil materials and personal protective wear.
Prepare and Review purchase requisitions and related documentation to ensure clarity and completeness with the description of materials- components or equipment- quantity- adherence to quality assurance requirements- and ensuring authorization from the project management team to proceed with the purchase.
Ensure proper drawings- technical specifications- and client specific requirements such as special purchasing instructions relating to CAT ID`s are included with the SAP requisitions.
This position will be the primary Liaison to maintain effective communication between the project team- engineering- and procurement to ensure materials are purchased in accordance with the required quality requirements while adhering to the project schedule.
Preparation of RFQ/RFP packages as required to support fabricated components and service subcontracts for SGRT at the Bruce Power Nuclear site.
Develop reports and provide updates to the project team as required regarding bulk material and fabricated component deliveries- delivery costs- and expedite costs.
Interface regularly with vendors and subcontractors to evaluate/monitor performance- change- and managing mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and cost performance
Ensuring quality- reliability and responsiveness to operational needs which meet or exceed organizational expectations.
Assist the procurement department with supplier recommendations for materials or services
Support Task Managers as required as it relates to Material- Fabrication and Service Subcontracts.

As designated by Project Management or Contracts Manager
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
This position shall be responsible for the timely procurement of Goods and services in order to meet project deadlines.

Project Managers- project personnel- estimating personnel
Trades execution team – supervision and field execution team members

Minimum Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
5 to 10 years` experience in the Nuclear/Conventional Construction Industry in a procurement or project coordination role
Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
Good Interpersonal skills are essential
Customer service oriented
Familiarity with the Bruce Power and/or OPG catalogue ID requirements an asset
Working knowledge of Nuclear Codes & Standards as they relate to procurement activities- these may include but not be limited to: ASME Section III- ASME NCA-4000- ASME NQA-1- CSA N285.0- & CSA N286-05- and CSA Z299 Series requirements
Basic knowledge of other material or component codes and standards would be an asset. These may include but not be limited to: ASME Section II- ASTM- & CSA.
Excellent planning- decision making- negotiation and time management skills are essential
Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
Preferred Qualifications
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Due to the nature of work conducted by SGRT- must be able to obtain unescorted access to the Nuclear Power Plant and meet mandated export controls requirements.
